They can also be cut with scissors to make customized tools. In the industry of stone & construction, diamond sandpaper is widely used for sanding and polishing drainboard flutes, profiled edge on countertops, and other small and irregular shapes.
Unlike metal or resin bond diamond tools which diamond grains are randomly distributed throughout the matrix, the electroplated working surface of diamond sandpaper has 100% diamond exposure and each individual diamond is held in place firmly by electroplating technology. So instead of only partial of the diamonds are working in resin or metal bond tools, electroplated sandpaper has 100% of the diamonds working from start to finish.
